Held the first Wednesday of every month in the Fleet Science Center’s Space Theater, “The Sky Tonight” presents the sky in San Diego as it appears on the night of the planetarium show as well as special topics in astronomy.
From September 4 through mid-December 2008, the Space Theater will be dark for extensive renovations and upgrades. Planetarium shows will resume in 2009. LEARN MORE
Weather and operational requirements permitting, the San Diego Astronomy Association provides free telescope viewing outdoors on the Prado in Balboa Park. This is a separate free event held on the first Wednesday of every month.
