Corporate Volunteer Support
The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center encourages corporations to work in tandem with us...
providing hands-on community service that aligns with our mission to inspire life-long learning by furthering the public understanding and enjoyment of science and technology. The Fleet Science Center seeks to engage corporate volunteers in group and individual opportunities, one-time and ongoing opportunities, and on-site or workplace opportunities.
Corporations work with our staff to identify the Corporate Volunteer Program projects for their volunteers. The Corporate Volunteer Program projects are designed to be enjoyable and fulfilling, provide employees with meaningful opportunities that create and enhance camaraderie, and to give you and your employees a sense of ownership in the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. Projects include facilitating lecture series, renovating our learning labs, sponsoring technology installations and much, much more. Some of our projects involve the opportunity to donate funds towards the purchase of necessary equipment or other supplies, which allows the museum to complete work that we otherwise would not have been able to attempt.
We will gladly work with you to design a volunteer experience that will have a major impact on those you serve while also keeping sure to stay aligned with your corporate philanthropic mission.
Help the Fleet by Volunteering!
Previous Corporate Volunteer Events
Each year, the Fleet teams up with the Motorola Corporation and their Global Day of Service event. Thousands of Motorola employees around the world participate, donating part of their work day to devote their time, energy and talent to local organizations. Partnering with a local middle school, the Fleet was lucky enough last year to be one of the few sites where Motorola engineers ran special "App Boot Camps" to teach students how to build their own Android™ apps.
