BE WiSE

Better Education for Women in Science and Engineering (BE WiSE) engages young women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) learning experiences in collaboration with San Diego's corporations and research and academic institutions. Each year, BE WiSE invites girls in grades 7 and 8 to Science Overnights to explore their interest in science. Once they are members of BE WiSE, the girls attend events throughout the year to strengthen their interest in science. They're encouraged to choose more courses in science and math and they meet adult women scientists who share their knowledge, passion and career experiences. Learn more about BE WiSE.
