March for Science - San Diego
Saturday, Apr 22, 2017 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
The Fleet is San Diego’s science center. We connect people of all ages to the possibilities and power of science to create a better future. Our role is to be the central link between science and our communities, our schools and scientific organizations. The Fleet stands for science.
We are proud to sponsor the March for Science—San Diego on Saturday, April 22. The march is for anyone who’s excited by science—especially YOU! It’s a family-friendly, nonpartisan event with the goal of raising awareness of the contributions of science to society and the importance of supportive public policy. The march is an incredible opportunity to celebrate the central role that science plays in our daily lives. The San Diego march is one of nearly 500 Marches for Science planned across America and around the world. Learn more about the local march at marchforsciencesd.com.
The March for Science—San Diego begins downtown at the San Diego Civic Center, 1100 Third Ave., San Diego, CA 92101 at 10 a.m. Following speeches, the march will proceed to Broadway, then to North Harbor Drive, ending at the County Administration Center and Waterfront Park.
