Power-Up! Inside Video Games

Join us on the last Thursday of the month to meet with video game specialists to discuss the creative elements that bring all of our favorite video games to life. Get the inside scoop on video games, from the way they’re developed to becoming a pro player, straight from video game insiders.

Event details:

6 to 7 p.m.: Meet & Greet with the speaker(s) in the theater lobby.

7 to 8:30 p.m.: Talk or panel discussion in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater.

Cost: Regular Admission $19.95. Event takes the place of an IMAX film included in the regular admission. Fleet Members will be able to use their vouchers for this event.
Come early before the event to enjoy Game Masters: The Exhibition; exhibit admission is included in the ticket price.

Tickets: Tickets can be purchased at the box office, over the phone by calling (619) 238-1233 x806, or online. 
To purchase tickets online, follow these instructions:

a) Click the following link to get to our ticket website: online 
b) Under "Buy Online (Select Tickets)", click on "Non-Member Tickets" or "Member Tickets"
c) Click on the little calendar icon 
d) In the calendar function, select the event date, for example July 27
e) On the right, scroll down until you see the event Power-up! Inside Video Games" at 7pm and click on the green "click here" button
f) Enter the number of tickets you would like purchase and hit "Add to cart"
g) Hit the "check out" button and either log in (if you have an account already), create an account, or purchase tickets as a guest without creating an account (click "continue")
h) Enter your payment information and hit "Submit Order". 
i) Print the ticket confirmation page and bring it to the Fleet at the day of the event

July 27—The Behemoth: Everything You've Ever Wanted to Know About Video Games But Were Afraid to Ask.

Join members of The Behemoth development team for a fun filled evening of video game talk. The group will discuss all phases of independent game development, including the following topics:

·       Science or Magic - What makes a video game fun? 

·       I love playing video games. Should I do it for a living?

·       Can independent video game developers survive in today’s economy?

And of course we’ll reserve plenty of time at the end of the talk for all the questions you might have.
