For large groups, or groups that prefer the prestige of having the entire facility all to themselves, we offer The Fleet Experience. This package includes access to all five of our world class galleries, Escape From Dino Island, the Community Forum and the Lecture Hall. For added impact, include a private screening in our IMAX Dome® Theater for a nominal additional charge. The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center can easily accommodate up to 1000 people for a spectacular reception style evening. Whether you’re planning a formal or a casual event, the Science Center will make it something special.

The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center is able to provide the Main Exhibit Gallery downstairs for receptions. This gallery currently features ExploraZone®,a collection of the most famous exhibits from the Exploratorium in San Francisco. Located on the main floor, this exhibit gallery can be the most interesting and original event site. From a cocktail reception to a sit-down dinner, the Main Exhibit Gallery will sure impress your guests. This package is only available when the Science Center is closed to the public during off-season hours. Please contact the Special Events Department for availability of the space.

Do you have a group of less than 400 that would like a totally unique venue for their next get together? Then upstairs at the Fleet is the spot you’ve been looking for. The upstairs galleries at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center can be used separately from the rest of the facility, allowing your group to have an intimate and private event. You’ll have access to our Rotunda, Mezzanine and Prado Galleries. Your guests can look down on all the "happenings" in the Main Exhibit Gallery, while still being separate from the public. For groups with smaller numbers, or budgetary concerns, Upstairs at the Fleet is the package for you!

There is perhaps nothing as impressive to your guests as a private screening in the Reuben H. Fleet IMAX Dome® Theater. It is an experience like no other, and adds a unique element that makes any corporate event a truly memorable one. The dome screen and state-of-the-art sound system used in the Space Theater guarantees an unforgettable experience. The theater is available for use on an hourly basis. It can be used to screen a film from our library, to show your own independent presentation or as a large-scale lecture site. Whether you choose the theater for an hour, or an entire evening, the IMAX Dome® will take your breath away.

Our newest meeting room at the Fleet, The Community Forum, is the perfect place to hold your next corporate meeting of up to 120 people. This room offers state-of-the-art video and presentation systems, along with standard microphone and podium set-ups on a raised stage. Also featured in the Forum is our new ergonomically-correct seating. This versatile space is also perfect for more intimate corporate receptions and dinners. You may choose from a full-day or half-day package. Come entertain the possibilities!

Are you searching for a professional, unique venue that can accommodate a group of up to 100? Then you've found it! Our classic Lecture Hall has been the site for the best of San Diego’s more intimate lecture series. The four-hour Lecture Package is a wonderful value for groups looking for a theater setting. The Lecture Hall features permanent traditional theater seating along with access to projection equipment, microphones, pull-down screen, and podium. The Lecture Hall will meet all your professional needs!

If you are interested in hosting a small meeting for up to 20 people and you want to do it in an imaginative space, the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center’s Boardroom is the place to go! With a commanding view of the Space Theater Lobby, the Boardroom is one of the most interesting meeting places in Balboa Park. If you're thinking of having some refreshments during your presentation, for an additional charge, Galileo’s Café at the Fleet offers attractively-priced coffee breaks and/or deli-style luncheon options.

If your corporate clients are screaming for something new and different, The Virtual Zone is the package for you. We can offer you private use of Escape From Dino Island, the motion-based simulator ride, and exclusive access to our Virtual Reality attractions for up to four hours for one low price.
