Special headsets are available for the hearing-impaired to enhance the Dome Theater experience. The headsets increase the intelligibility of theater presentations by enhancing the narration and dialogue and lowering music and sound effects. The headsets are available for use in the theater with any IMAX film or digital show (except for music-only presentations). Just ask for a complimentary headset at the Ticket Counter in the Entry Rotunda.
The Fleet is pleased to offer the Rear Window closed-captioning system in the Heikoff Dome Theater. A limited number of devices are available for all public IMAX® films and digital shows. Our enhanced system offers improved viewing of captions. When you purchase your Dome Theater ticket at the Ticket Counter, tell the guest services associate that you would like to use the closed-caption service. The service is complimentary, and the system is accessible in the upper-right seating area of the theater.
The Fleet offers Spanish-narration headsets for a number of shows in the Heikoff Dome Theater. When you purchase your Dome Theater ticket at the Ticket Counter, ask the guest services associate if the film is available with Spanish narration. If it is, you may ask for a complimentary headset and listen to the Spanish narration while the film plays to the public with English narration.
Inside the Heikoff Dome Theater, there are designated wheelchair areas. Several restrooms in the Fleet are fully accessible to wheelchairs. For complete privacy and assisted restroom use, please use the restrooms nearest the Main Exhibit Gallery entrance. For further information or for assistance with elevator access to the second floor, please contact a Fleet staff member.
