MISSION: Create a space for people of all ages and abilities to learn and hone the skills needed to be an Innovator.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

This team creates a space for curiosity to be sparked using Science, Technology, Engineering Art and Math through facilitating playful and inventive activities and teaching visitors how to use the right tools. Innovators create a space for visitors to engage in prototyping and inventing while honing their skills of innovation. 

 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in creating a fun and engaging environment for visitors.
  • Facilitate creative educational activities
  • Assist studio staff in organizing and maintaining materials and equipment
  • Be knowledgeable of safety and emergency procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • A Studio X-pert is energetic, outgoing, personable, and will be excited about making even when no one is in the studio.
  • Interest in science, technology, engineering, math, arts, and education.

Comfortable interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds, while being courteous, professional, patient and respectful at all times.

  • Comfortable working in a crowded and noisy environment
  • Present a professional appearance

TIME COMMITMENT

 

TRAINING

 

All future Innovators will have participated in “New Staff Orientation”. Studio X-perts will be paired with a studio mentor for a minimum of 6 mentor shifts with studio checklist.
