Junior Science Club

Join us on the third Saturday of each month to investigate exciting science topics. Sessions will be filled with new challenges, hands-on activities and interaction with local scientists. Throughout the year, we will explore an array of fields including biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, physics, robotics and much more!




Jr. Science Club is held the third Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for students in grades 1 to 4.




Members $13, Nonmembers $15 per person, per date. To participate, parents must pre-register and pay with a credit card while registering their children by calling (619) 238-1233 x806 or click above to register online.

Renewable energy is the way of the future! Learn how sunshine can be used to make energy and delicious snacks.


September 2018: Pollution Solution

Uncover how plastic pollution in our oceans affects marine life and ecosystems with guest presenter from National Marine Mammal Foundation.

October 2018: Jack-o-Lantern Circuits

Saturday, October 20
11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m
Investigate simple circuits while designing jack-o-lanterns that light up with the flip of a switch. Pumpkins and carving tools provided.
