The IF/THEN Initiative

The IF/THEN® initiative seeks to further advance women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) by empowering current innovators and inspiring the next generation of pioneers. The initiative funds and elevates role models, convenes cross sector partners and inspires girls with better portrayals of women in STEM. The IF/THEN initiative is funded by the Lyda Hill Philanthropies®.

In partnership with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), IF/THEN® created the AAAS IF/THEN® Ambassadors Program that brought together 125 talented women STEM professionals across a variety of industries. The IF/THEN Ambassadors served as high-profile role models for middle school girls from 2019 through 2021. Their profiles and videos are still available on the IF/THEN Ambassador website.
